Behavior Modification

In my 30+ years of experience, I have found that most people do not understand our feline friends. Cats are not small dogs; they are tiny tigers. Cat training and Behavior Modification is usually 70% human training and 30% cat training. Once humans learn what their cat needs and what they are trying to communicate to them, the cats fall in line with the appropriate behaviors. Cats are fascinating creatures, and it is so much fun communicating with them and speaking their language.

These are a few of the most popular topics of training and behavior modification:

  • Inappropriate Elimination (Litter Box corrections & Spraying)

  • General questions like, "Why does my cat do that?"

  • Inappropriate Scratching

  • Socialization with other animals and environments (Dogs, Babies, other animals)

  • Nighttime Vocalization

  • Area Training (Keeping off of counters, special areas of environment)

  • Aggression Issues just to name a few
